Phan Thiet has been well-known for its beautiful beaches even its potential has just been explored and recognized for some recent years. Today we will transfer about 200km to discover this place. Hidden among coconut trees, a chain of seaside resorts attracts every taste and all ages. Spend an afternoon relaxing at a resort, or roaming over coloured sand dunes at Hon Rom. The coast offers spectacular views at sunset along the Cape Ne beach drive. Golfing at an 18-hole course is optional. Overnight stay in Phan Thiet.

Our way to Nha Trang will be via Phan Rang (centre of Ninh Thuan province) where we should stop and spend some time visiting My Nghiep brocade - weaving hamlet and Po Klong Garai Towers (recognized as a heritage site for arts and architecture by Vietnamese Ministry of culture in 1979) built in 13th century with high standard of architecture by Cham people. Upon arrival Nha Trang city, we will get to Po Nagar towers by pedicab along Nha Trang beach. The rest of time is free. Overnight stay in Nha Trang.

Day 4: Nha Trang (breakfast/ lunch)
Today we do not have to get up early in the morning. In stead, we will start our trip at 9h00 to get to a port where we start our boat trip to Tam and Mun Islet. The water is clear and the marine life is diverse for snorkelling and sunbathing. Optional activities include scuba diving, jet skiing, wind surfing & parasailing on Tam Islet. Lunch of seafood is served on board. Overnight stay in Nha Trang.
Day 5: Nha Trang - Quang Ngai (breakfast/ lunch)
We leave Nha Trang (400km) at 8h00 for Quang Ngai. It takes us long time on bus for limitation of speed (regulated by transportation rules) but coastal landscapes, rice fields, coconuts along the road and stories by our guide make the distance shorter. Dai Lanh fishing village, Cham towers and Sa Huynh salt marshes are our stop-overs en route. Quang Ngai is known for the My lai massacre in 1968 caused by US troop. The face of this poor province has changed dramatically after years of wars and efforts by the hard-working people. We will have not much time here but we may find out some differences. The most difference here is that people is well-known for their hard-working character while people in the Southern are well-known for their generosity. Overnight stay in Quang Ngai.
Day 6: Quang Ngai - Hoi An (breakfast/ lunch)
Today we will visit Hoi An, a busy trade port of 16th centure. It takes us two hours on bus. We will stop first at Tam Ky (city of Quang Nam) for a visit to Chien Dan Towers, a group of 3 towers built in the 13th century. The rest of time will be free for your bath at Cua Dai beach. Overnight stay in Hoi An.
Day 7: Hoi An (breakfast/ lunch)
Enjoy a day trip to explore two World Heritage sites recognized by UNESCO in 1999 where architectural treasures and sculptures of Cham culture dating from the 7th to the 13th century can be explored. When visiting here, no one thinks it the most important Cham intellectual and religious centre for it is surrounded by mountains with quite atmosphere with only one hard way to approach. Leaving My Son, we head towards Hoi An ancient town.
The afternoon tour will show you the beauty of this ancient town with visit to temples, Japanese bridge temple, old houses built with precious wood. The rest of afternoon is free.
Old houses, temples ect...are parts of this town but most important factor is the way people live as well as the atmosphere: Life is not fast and hurry, traffic is not crowded, limitation of traffic in old streets is applied. This town is also a good place for shopping. You should go out in the evening to enjoy some coffee drink in this old town. Overnight stay at Hoi An.
Day 8: Hoi An - Hue (breakfast/ lunch)
Today morning we will start our trip by visiting stone-carving village of Non Nuoc with main products of stone by skillful hands of local people. We will continue our trip along a new road (built by a project of Danang city with a view to attracting more travelers in field of tourism) to visit Cham Sculpture Museum in Danang city where a variety of ancient and modern sculpted articles is displayed. It is not very far from Danang to Hue so our bus will be slow at some beautiful sightseeings or stop for your photos. In this case, Lang Co lagoon may be the best place to stop and take photograph, Lang co is close to Hai Van pass and Hai Van tunnel. Hai Van is a pass lies between Hue city and Da Nang city. We can get to Hue via Hai Van tunnel but getting over Hai Van pass with ups and downs is more interesting. Getting out of Hai Van, we go ahead to Hue. Check-in. The afternoon is free. In the evening, we will enjoy folk show on Perfume River. Overnight stay in Hue.

Day 9: Hue (breakfast/ lunch)
Our boat is waiting at the port and ready to show you the beauty of Perfume river and take you to our first attraction of Thien mu pagoda. Huong river is a quite one, it is not active like Saigon River in Ho Chi Minh city. You may get to Thien Mu pagoda on foot, by bus, by taxi ect...but I think it will be most interesting if we approach by boat. There are close relations between Thien My pagoda and history (the kings) and nature. Our next visit is Khai Dinh and Minh Mang tombs. Tombs were built when the kings were alive, a preparation for their death. Tombs are not thought as normal meaning, they are characterized by different architectures with harmony of people and nature ect...Most my clients want to have dinner with a family in Hue (at a Nha Ruon - a kind of house in Hue with house and garden). After dinner, we have time to enjoy folk show on perfume river. Overnight stay in Hue.
Day 10: Hue - Dong Hoi (breakfast/ lunch)
Drive to Dong Hoi (165km), passing the former demilitarized zone (DMZ) along the Ben Hai River (1954 – 1975) where vestiges of fierce battles can be seen comprising the ruins of the old Quang Tri Citadel, Dong Ha Town, the Hien Luong Bridge and the Vinh Moc Tunnels. The road running along the coastal plains offers idyllic views of sand dunes, rice fields and villages. O/N in Dong Hoi.
Day 11: Dong Hoi – Vinh (breakfast/ lunch)
Before leaving for Phong Nha, wander about the Nhat Le fish Market, an ideal photo spot with sellers and buyers invariably wearing the ubiquitous conical hat. Transfer to the Xuan Son ferry landing (45km) and take a boat ride on the Son River to spectacular Phong Nha Cavern comprising Bi Ky Cave & Cung Dinh Cave. Steps lead to superb Tien Son Cave (1km), the most magnificent limestone cave in Vietnam and just opened in 2000. Onwards to Vinh (200km). O/N in Vinh.
Day 12: Vinh - Ninh Binh (breakfast/ lunch)
The morning highlight is a visit to President Ho Chi Minh’s birth home in Kim Lien Village where farm houses made of bamboo and palm leaves over 100 years ago are restored. Cuong Temple near Dien Chau Town with the legendary love story of Trong Thuy and My Chau is also worth visiting. Onwards to Ninh Binh (200km). O/N in Ninh Binh.
Note: Ninh Binh offers 2 star hotel only.
Day 13: Ninh Binh - Hai Phong (breakfast/ lunch)
Our morning time is to visit Tam Coc (three caves - first, second and third cave), known as Vietnam's "inland Halong Bay". The only route to approach Tam Coc is by boat. Coolness, taste of local wind, comfort and relaxing are what you feel when boating in the caves. We next visit Bich Dong (green cave), is often known as "the second most beautiful cave in Vietnam". Bich Dong contributes to the harmony of nature here with mountains, river, rice fields and sky. In the afternoon, drive through the Red River Delta to Hai Phong (135km) and stop over at Tuc Mac Temple and Pho Minh Pagoda in Nam Dinh province, the native land of the Tran Dynasty (1225 –1400). O/N in Hai Phong.
Day 14: Hai Phong - Halong - Hanoi (breakfast/ lunch)
We leave Hai Phong for Halong (about 60km). Upon arriving Halong bay, we will have 04 - 05 hours on boat including time of visiting some caves on routes. The weather is very important to our trip but I think your time of visit will be rewarding. With thousands of big and small "island", you may think you are on land. Halong bay is also known to many tourists as a place of fish raising. You may visit one of house on water, finding out the ways of raising fish here. Our lunch on board with main menu of seafood should be a must. We will be back Hanoi on the same day. Overnight stay in Hanoi.
Day 15: Hanoi (breakfast/ lunch)
The city tour will start with a visit to Ngoc Son temple, an island on Hoan Kien lake with famous The Huc bridge. Our next attraction is Temple of Literature, the first university in Vietnam, a symbol of Vietnamese traditional education. Many activities are often held at the temple on new year days so as to praise talented people who make great contribution to the country during the year. From temple of literature, we will move to one-stilt pagoda where architecture, historical stories and culture are highlighted. We next visit Museum of ethnology where we can have overview of ethnic minorities of Vietnam, at least from symbols and tools used in their daily life and work as well as festivals. The sightseeing day ends with a pedicab ride and a water puppet show. Overnight stay in Hanoi.
